Tournament Details 9U-15U
Game Guarantee: 4 games guaranteed. Transportation to and from games provided.
Pool Play: Each team will play 4 games and then be seeded for bracket play. Please note bracket play will be a single-elimination format.
Age Brackets: 9U/10U, 11U/12U & 13U/14U, 15U. Based on roster needs in other age groups players have been asked to play up in certain cases to fill a need. It is entirely up to the player and parents to accept that invitation or not.
Fields and Locations: Dominican Republic Ballparks in the San Pedro de Macoris area.
Countries Represented: USA, Dominican Republic, Columbia & Panama.
Opening Ceremonies: Lots of fun with flag-waving, anthems, live band/music, and all teams in uniforms. All family, friends, and fans attend opening ceremonies.
Awards Presentation: Each coach will select one player from his team to award him The Orlando Cepeda Offensive MVP!
Coaches will also choose a player who they both feel that he stood out on Defense. Diving for the ball, talking, backIng up other defenders. He will receive The Cepeda Classic Best Defensive Player award.
Awards will be presented at the closing dinner.
Game Action: Be prepared to compete between the lines, and play baseball in a atmosphere that not many players get a chance to experience.

What You Can Expect
- Competitive Baseball
- Family orientated week of baseball with lots of fun in the sun.
- Experience to meet and play with other peers from around the United States.
- Player and family in the package will be transported to and from ballparks and any off-site activities the Cepeda Organization hosts.
- All meals will be provided by the hotel. Hotel is all-inclusive, so many options for food and beverages (snacks as well) to choose from.
- Players will receive their caps at check in on 7/24 at the resort.
The Cepeda Caribbean Classic is a premier tournament showcasing young talent from different parts of the USA, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and other Latin countries. Our 2023 event will be the 9th year we’ve held the Cepeda Caribbean Classic tournament and we are extremely happy to have the chance to bring elite players to compete with the best the island has to offer. Cepeda Baseball Club sees over 500+ baseball players in different locations across the states during tryouts and forms its best rosters from these workouts.
Athletes will be highly evaluated before selected on each team. We will strive to take the best possible talent and compete every time we step between the lines. Our coaching staff will consist of former MLB players, current college coaches, and many more nationally acclaimed baseball coaches.

We plan on making sure that all players are competing at a high level, but also are able to enjoy themselves and build lasting friendships with their own teammates and those on the opposite teams. A sightseeing day/free day will be part of this unforgettable trip, which will give you an opportunity to explore Dominican Republics beauty.
The competition will be fierce, and all players will come back with a better understanding of baseball around the globe.
